Following the success of FieldTurf’s Vertex pitches in other Non-League Stadiums, Margate FC have recently installed the latest version of Vertex at their Hartsdown Park Stadium.

The Vertex revolution started at Newtown AFC in 2014, continued at Sutton Utd and has seen a further eight Stadium fields installed in England, including Tamworth FC, Slough Town FC, Maidstone Utd and Harrogate Town FC.  All these pitches have been installed onto an engineered performance layer by construction partners S&C Slatter Ltd and have all been successfully re-certified to the highest FIFA standards.

The unique combination of fibres used in Vertex systems ensures unrivalled playability, durability and aesthetics and the very latest Vertex system, using ground-breaking new fibre technology, takes performance to a whole new level.

The new fibre, created and manufactured by FieldTurf, is the most technologically advanced fibre on the market.  The fibre has scored the highest known rating on Labosport’s Fibre Performance Index (FPI).  This independent test, from one the world’s leading test houses, rates fibres for Resilience, Durability and Smoothness, the key aspects to judge when selecting a fibre type.

This development is the biggest leap forward in synthetic turf technology since FieldTurf invented 3G turf in 1997 and continues to demonstrate just why FieldTurf are the world’s leading manufacturer in synthetic turf.
