Chris Trickey
Chief Executive
Chris Trickey was appointed Chief Executive of SAPCA on its formation in 1997. As the head of the Association's administrative team he has a wide-ranging role across all areas of SAPCA's activities and development, working closely with SAPCA's elected Board of Directors.
A graduate of Birmingham University, Chris previously worked for ten years at The Lawn Tennis Association. As the Technical & Research Manager, he was responsible for the LTA's technical guidance, standards and consultancy services in support of the national facilities development programme, which included investment in affiliated tennis clubs, schools, counties, public tennis centres and tournament venues.
In this role Chris worked in close collaboration with the tennis court construction industry, in particular with the Tennis Court Constructors' Federation (TCCF), which had been formed in 1986 as a new trade organisation to raise standards of tennis facilities. Chris led the LTA's research work on the development of performance standards for tennis surfaces, and on the "speed of the game", in cooperation with Wimbledon, Slazenger and the ITF.
Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Association Management, and represents SAPCA as a member of UK Trade & Investment's Global Sports Projects Sector Advisory Group.
Outside work, Chris is a Governor at Telford Junior School in Leamington Spa, and enjoys tennis, cycling and trying to keep fit. In 2005 he ran the London Marathon in support of SAPCA's official charity, ParalympicsGB.

Alison Dougall
Finance and Administration Manager
All SAPCA members will know Alison - the lynchpin of the team. A local Coventry lady, Alison has been in her role at SAPCA for over six years - managing all aspects of finance and admin. This follows six years spent with the Federation of Sports and Play Associations. When not looking after money and paperwork, Alison enjoys time in her garden.

Ian Beswick
Events and IT Manager
Ian's background as a polymer chemist and textile technologist was a great asset when he entered the field of synthetic sports surfaces in the 1980's. Having worked for some of the leading companies in sports surface production and installation since then, his experience has helped greatly with work at SAPCA.
Ian started his own business, TAB Services, at the turn of the century. This company specialises in providing sales and marketing services to other companies. With a keen interest in computers and the Internet, developed over the past 20 years, his role of Events and IT Manager at SAPCA is a natural extension of these areas of expertise.
Six children and 2 granddaughters - so far - provide a focus for activities out of office hours.
