FIFA 2 Star pitch

Lancaster & Morcambe College have completed construction of a state-of- the-art sport and fitness development, a project totalling £1.2m.

Blakedown Sport & Play are proud to announce the full size 3rd Generation pitch installed for the college as part of the project has achieved FIFA 2 star certification.

The FIFA 2 Star certification means that the artificial pitch is designed and constructed to mirror the playing characteristics of a professional football pitch.

The FIFA Quality Concept is a guarantee of premium quality and consistency, and is a respected international industry standard.

This high performance pitch, which is also to IRB specification, was constructed using a Desso 65mm carpet, onto an engineered base with shockpad. The surface was lined for rugby, football & 5-a-side and provides a year round facility for college students & the local community.
