Sporting a New Surface
back to list22 January 2007
Pupils at Heckmondwike Grammar School in West Yorkshire are now enjoying a variety of outdoor sports thanks to the installation of their new sports surface made by local manufacturer Play-Rite®. The new surface will benefit pupils not just in games lessons, but also after school and at lunchtimes.
Almost 6,000m˛ of the company’s Match-Winner product has been installed to create an all weather playing surface for the school. Completed with an inlaid line option, the surface is suitable for a range of sports from hockey and netball to soccer, tennis and general training.
Chris Pickles, Sales Director of Play-Rite® said, “Following a full and extensive search, Match-Winner was chosen as the ideal solution to accommodate all the requirements for the school. Coupled with our previous history on quality and service, the unanimous decision was the Match-Winner surface. This installation continues to expand Play-Rite’s extensive coverage of multi-sports pitches across the UK.”
Match-Winner, from Play-Rite® is a high performance, sand-dressed, synthetic sports surface made from 100% UVS Polypropylene. The scrim-reinforced surface brings high stability and the impact absorption ensures its player friendly, with less stress on knee and ankle joints. The surface can also be installed with inlaid lines, available in white, blue, yellow or red, making it ideal for a multitude of sports.
