Murfitts Industries Limited are the UK’s largest tyre recycling company processing some 100,000 tonnes of tyres per annum at 3 different recycling centres. Handling tyres from motorcycles up to earthmovers Murfitts can handle most tyres that come their way. We also get involved in cleaning up the environment from tyre dumps which have accumulated over many years in some cases.

From these tyres we produce a range of high quality rubber crumb with a variety of end uses in the sports and play facility construction and general construction fields.

Products from 0.5mm up to 20mm have many end uses including infill for synthetic turf, shockpad construction, top surfaces for athletics tracks and playgrounds and many other uses either as a bound product or loose.
Larger sized shredded and chipped tyres are used in drainage layers for a variety of construction applications including roadways, pathways, landfill sites and equestrian surfacing.

To date Murfitts’ products have been successfully used in FIFA, EUFA and FA specified football pitches, RFU specified rugby pitches, IAAF specified athletics tracks, at many football Premier League training facilities, prestigious race courses such as Epsom and Newmarket and many more facilities in the UK, Ireland, the Middle East and Europe.
