Athletics and Sports Consultants was founded in 1976 when it provided the plans and designs for RAF Cosford Indoor Athletic Track.

The consultancy comprises of a group of energetic professionals with expertise in civil engineering, materials science, project and facility management, sports coaching and officiating. Members of the group have all competed at international level in their respective sports; athletics; football and ice skating, and are now track assessors for UKA.

ASC now have a significant list of designs: London Docklands; Birmingham NIA; UWIC; Manchester EIS; Sheffield EIS, Odyssey Arena Belfast to mention a few. Now in preparation: Glasgow NIA and Ravenscraig plus a number of halls and 400m tracks.

ASC designs are very much influenced by the experience in our various sports and coaching to all levels and standards especially for schools and clubs. We have travelled extensively in North America and Europe and have gained a better understanding of design systems as a result.
